  • Overview

Light exposure plays a crucial role in circadian regulation, but for young people with migraines, it can also trigger discomfort and avoidance behaviors. As a result, a recent study examined adolescent light exposure patterns and their potential connection to increased headache frequency and disrupted sleep patterns. Joining Dr. Charles Turck to discuss the study and its findings is co-author of the study, Dr. Carlyn Patterson Gentile. She's a board-certified pediatric neurologist and headache specialist at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she serves as an attending physician in the Division of Neurology in the Pediatric Headache Program, as well as a physician scientist and Assistant Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania.
